Recently, several popular website browsers issued new versions, which block websites that use cookies. Some warn viewers the websites are unsafe and not secure. Unfortunately, the processes by the programming in these browsers to identify unsafe websites are either not working properly, (such as missing Server Name Indication support in the TLS encryption protocol), or not sophisticated enough to discriminate between safe and unsafe uses of cookies by website owners. So new versions of the browsers, including some listed above, could misrepresent sites that are highly safe and secure (historically and statistically) as unsafe and not secure.

Most dangers to website security and privacy come from criminals wanting to take your personal data, like your name, address, credit card number, or bank account number. When a site does not collect personal information like that, you are in no such danger.

Using cookies safely helps a site's administration know how effective their methods are at reaching people with the messages they offer.

An additional protection this site uses to prevent these abuses is SSL (Secure Socket Layer, indicated by https in the address). If a web browser tells you there is something wrong with our SSL certificate, it is mistaken. Here is a screenprint of our SSL Certificate Security Ranking:

SSL was designed to keep the internet connection secure. It does this by encrypting data so it is virtually unhackable. Very few individuals exist who are sophisticated enough to hack through SSL. It costs a hacker a lot of money to try this, so they tend to focus on sites that give them large monetary return. They would not bother with a little site that is only trying to do good, and has nothing of dollar value to them. The odds are extremely low that they would waste their money. This means our site is statistically in the safe zone.

SSL is also designed to block malware. It does this quite well at all times. Malware is not a threat to you as a result of our site. However, it is a rampant and malicious practice on the web, and we applaud the industry's fight to end it. We are hoping and starting to see that the industry is improving its requirements to be more thoughtful by not blocking safe sites, like this one.

If you are ever blocked from this site in the future, you can try opening it in incognito mode. This mode is available on some browsers by visiting their Settings. If that doesn't work, consider the solution below.
